Panda Free Antivirus

Panda Free Antivirus 20.1

This is a program that provides a system for detecting and disinfecting viruses

Panda free Antivirus has gone through re-branding. It used to be called Panda Cloud Antivirus and was part of basic-level freeware solutions for computer protection. Now, two lines of products have been merged into one, lost "cloud" in their name, but became a truly innovative free antivirus capable of humbling any competition.

Installing Panda Free Antivirus is very easy, it only requires a couple of clicks of your mouse, and by default you 'pay' for the product by agreeing to some advertisement and Yahoo becoming a default system with renewed starting page in your browser. However, you can deny this change if you want, this does not lock installation.

Scanning is performed with average speeds, repeated scans go faster. The program utilizes cloud technologies, so all operations and processes are light and not demanding when it comes to hardware. This could cause poor functionality, but, to my surprise, this free antivirus is more thorough than some commercial products. Spyware, malware and adware is identified effectively and blocked faster than I could blink. The program has the option of launching a quick scan before accessing a file and prevents hazardous processes from even initializing. Those processes that managed to slip past the initial protection are caught and treated within seconds. To say that I was impressed is to say nothing, actually. This is the fastest most efficient prevention and virus deletion I have ever seen.

There is a downside to this, unfortunately, Panda Free Antivirus can sometimes react to some of the older programs like they were trojans or viruses. It labels them suspicious and might interfere with their work. Luckily, the program has never really messed up anything, so it's a rather minor setback. if you only use cutting-edge software, you won't face this problem. But, if you're a traditionalist like me, be prepared to defend your olden-days rudimentary tools from this zealot of virus detection.

The antivirus is also really good at blocking hazardous URLs and scanning downloads. It immediately deletes all dangerous files and blocks access to known virus-riddled sites. The database of the program on dangerous addresses has proven to be extensive, and there are layers to how the protection works. There is blocking of an address, scanning and blocking of a link to direct file download. Or you can use the option to ignore security warnings. The program is regularly updated, faster than any other due to cloud-based functionality, and even those dangerous links that are an hour old will be identified and prevented from endangering your PC.

Another outstanding performance is in the personal data protection department. Content filter is reliable, warnings and safety measures are operative and efficient. All available options are presented when a risk of data leak is identified. The program, once again, adapts to new cases and becomes more powerful with time. This is actually delightful, as the tedious process of database updating is almost completely gone.

Free version of Panda Free Antivirus, despite lacking some additional functions of Panda Antivirus PRO, has a fair share of useful tools. There is USB-vaccination preventing the spread of viruses from one PC to another by USB drive. Panda Rescue Kit helps you create a restorative bootable flash drive for cases when a virus damaged normal Windows start process. Panda Cloud Cleaner deals with the most complicated and difficult viruses. Other features include detailed process and Internet connection monitoring for complete control and alertness.

Overall, I am very impressed. Panda Free Antivirus is one of the best programs of its kind ever crated. I would highly recommend you try it out. It's free, it's good and it may well be the future of antiviruses.
